Audio/Sound:

The Corn Exchange has a permanently installed sound system, available to all who
hire the venue. And also a separate 'Booth' for both DJ's and sound engineers, located
in the corner of the main hall. If required by visiting engineers a temporary booth can

FOH: dB Technologies Fifty Line Plus system.  2x18”, 1+15”, 1+10”+1.5” per side.  5kW, SPL  131dB peak.

 

Mixer: Allen & Heath GL2400-32

 

Monitors: 4 way monitor mix as standard, 5 x M1520 monitors.  Monitors driven from FOH.

2 x Lexicon MPX100 multieffects
4 x Behringer Composer MDX2200 dual compressor/gate

 

Mics:

DI boxes: 4 x Studiospares active DIs

 

A selection of mic stands and cables.

 

On stage power: 6 way mains sockets available upstage and downstage on either side
be build in the middle of the main hall (against the wall opposite the stage). No extra
power is provided for additional sound equipment if brought in by hirers/promoters

 

We can arrange for DJ decks, Large mixing desks (Verona etc.), outboard FX units such as compressors, gates, reverbs etc.

Private hires of venue and promotions requiring additional sound/audio, can hire it in at cost to the promoter/promotion/party organiser.
(Events promoted by venue management will generally have extra audio supplied.)
Operation and technical support for additional sound/audio is also charged extra to hire.

NO RIGGING or hanging of speakers of any kind shall be allowed in the venue without
prior arrangement with both venue management and technical staff. A full risk assessment, and certificates will be required. Any additional sound units or other electrical items brought into the venue MUST be P.A.T. Tested, with current certificates available to view.

Lighting:

All lighting runs from it's own independent 32A single phase power supply, with an
additional pair or 13A supplies for 'Hot Power' for extra lighting such as moving
lights or L.E.D. units (non standard items that can be hired in if required). No form of
power distribution is provided unless specified/hired in for an event. The power
supply terminates in one 32A CEE Form single phase socket, and one twin 13A
socket upstage right.

LIGHTING RIGGED AS STANDARD:
8 x Source Four multi-Par lights with wide lenses fitted. Four rigged on back wall lx
bar (back wall of stage), and four rigged on front of house lx bar No1.
8 additional multi-par lights are sometimes available to use, rigged on two downstage booms, but be aware they are not always available!
1 x Six way DMX dimmer pack (basic built in control)
7 x Club/Disco FX lights (including a laser), 3 rigged on Back wall lx bar,
1 rigged in roof alcove, 3 rigged on 'Disco' lx bar above front of house
mixing/DJ booth.
1 x Large Mirror Ball, rigged on front of house lx bar No2, with own pin spot.
1 x Large Smoke machine, located in front of house mixing/DJ booth, used for
parties & club nights. Hazers for lighting FX can be hired in at cost.
Additional lighting is available if requested.

We can arrange intelligent moving head units, L.E.D. lights, profile spots and other
theatrical lights and FX.
